Sustain, one of the UK’s leading sustainability companies, is working with private management companies to insulate blocks of flats nationwide. Sustain are currently insulating in Haringey to bring tens of thousands of pounds worth of sav-ings to the London borough, as well as thousands of tonnes of carbon savings.

The agreed contracts with the clients of Day and Bell, CJ Delemere and Drivers & Norris will bring free cavity wall insula-tion to over 160 homes in Haringey and the surrounding areas and are expected to save residents in the area a collective total of over £34,000 from their annual energy bills.

Katie Swain, ECO Manager at Sustain, said “We are delighted to be working with private management companies, continu-ing our excellent relationships from our successful SmartHeat programme. Our Cavity Wall Insulation Campaign has facili-tated agreements across the country, and we now have the capacity in place to save hundreds of thousands of pounds from fuel bills nationwide.

“Sustain has an excellent track record of delivering this free end-to-end service for private management companies and resident associations, and we’re delighted with the response by our partners in London.”

Sustain’s Cavity Wall Insulation Campaign involves a free of charge technical cavity wall survey, followed by a free, fully managed end-to-end process of works on site using one of Sustain’s approved contractors from their national framework. The free service also includes is a report detailing the carbon, kilowatt hours and fuel bill savings from the works and En-ergy Performance Certificates (EPC) for each property within the building – without which an individual dwelling cannot be let or sold.

Sustain’s Cavity Wall Insulation Campaign runs hand-in-hand with the company’s programme to upgrade communal boilers and insulate the flat roofs of blocks of flats, and is a natural continuation from their highly successful SmartHeat pro-gramme, which insulates communal boiler rooms.
